In 1941,dupont was inspired by a small accessory in one of the travel bags made for the Maharajah of Patiala,and launched its first petrol lighter:the "ligne1" large model.This lighter with its 6 parallelograms recalled the objects and architecture of the 1930s and quickly became an essential item!Famous the world over,the S.T.Dupont lighter evolved as techniques developed,while retaining its original characteristics.The limited series"Jubillee"was created to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of this lighter.It pays homage to the master craftsmen of the time, to patience and to the fine, delicate work carried out according to traditional methods.
